The Sony CDP-XE220 is an excellent example of what CD players should be like - a simple easy to use interface and excellent sound quality.

Whilst conforming to the trend of having an ever-decreasing number of buttons, the Sony manages to do this without sacrificing ease of use, as with other players. The Jog Dial is especially good, making skipping tracks and programming playlists a doddle. The ?track calendar? is excellent - it quickly shows you how many tracks are on the CD, how many you have listened to already and how many there are to come. It makes playlist programming quick and easy.

Having said all of that, most purchasers will be interested in sound quality more than usability. I am therefore delighted to announce that, in line with most other Sony equipment, the sound quality is excellent. I have tested it in a system with Tannoy studio monitors, and the sound is brilliant, with punchy bass and crisp treble, coping well with any type of music.

My only niggle is the lack of a remote control, meaning you actually have to get up to skip tracks (oh no!).

A good all-rounder now down to a reasonable price.

Det spiller kanon men forstærkeren skal opgraderes hvis jeg skal ha noget vildere for prøvede mine fars JBL LX2005 og der var det ikke suben eller højtaler der haltede bagefter for det var bassen der begyndte at skratte sååå....

og til subben så skal den betrækkes med noget nappa ved ikke med farven endnu

Og hey det med prisklassen det er nærmere 5800 for anlæget men kunne ikke vælge 5000....
